A discussion about what’s next for the constantly short-staffed Lancaster Police Department resulted in a terse exchange between the city’s interim police chief and a Lancaster City Council member at a weekend public forum.
“The morale at the city police department sucks,” said LPD Capt. Phillip Hall, at a Sunday, Feb. 20, town hall meeting to talk about law enforcement issues. The town hall, which drew about 15 people, was held at the Lancaster Community Center and hosted by the grassroots We the People Committee.
