Google Guaranteed providers are background-checked and meet relevant insurance and licensing requirements. When you book an eligible Local Services provider on Google, you’re protected by the guarantee.
What it covers
- If you’re not satisfied with the quality of service, Google will cover claims up to the cost of the initial service, with a lifetime cap of $2000. Your service must be booked through Local Services. Add-on or future services, damages to property, dissatisfaction with price or responsiveness of the business, and cancellations aren’t covered. Claims must be submitted within 30 days of the initial service completion date.
- You can identify an eligible pro because they have the Google Guarantee symbol
by their name and on their profile page.
Who is covered
Google Guaranteed providers go through extensive screening to help ensure a trustworthy level of service. Some of these providers participate in the Local Services ads program and compensate Google to appear in search results.
Providers that appear on the Google Assistant do not compensate Google for their inclusion. Learn more about how providers are screened.
How it works
To benefit from the Google Guarantee, there are 2 steps:
Step 1: Contact the service professional
First, contact the service professional you worked with. They’re typically happy to help work through any concerns with the service quality.
Step 2: Submit a claim
If you’re unable to resolve your concerns directly with the provider, submit your Google Guarantee claim by contacting the support team at (844) 885-0761. The team at Google will investigate and get back to you.
